Preston Lighting Inc. is a Technical Production company based in Northern New Jersey. Originally founded in October of 2022, it has grown significantly since. The business now services dozens of productions every year across north-eastern New Jersey.
First founded by David Preston, the business now has a team of dedicated employees who work around the clock to provide the best equipment and services for your productions.

Our Team:
David Preston
David Preston first founded the business in 2022, and has been the President ever since. The award winning lighting designer has years of experience in the field and ensures the best possible service. He’s worked very hard to expand and grow the business, constantly searching for more opportunities and connections. A very dedicated employee, he manages almost every project and dedicates a massive amount of time and energy whenever and however possible.

Gabriella Militello
Gabriella Militello had helped with the business from day one, and officially joined the Preston Lighting team in December of 2022 as a Lighting Technician. As the company grew and developed, so did she working alongside David to produce something great. Through several shows and productions, her capabilities and contributions grew immensely. She gained Lighting Designer Certification from Preston Lighting in May of 2023, and not too long after was appointed as VP.

Diane Preston
Diane Preston has been involved with Preston Lighting since it’s founding as an advisor and associate, helping and assisting our team with finance, operations, logistics, and more! However, Diane recently joined the team officially as the Chief Financial Officer. She since has helped to improve our financial data, analysis, and reporting, as well as maximize the utilization of our capital resources.

Cecelia Militello
Cecelia Militello first made connection via her sister, Gabriella, and quickly showed interest in Lighting Technology. Cecelia enrolled in Preston Lighting’s educational program and began learning about Theatrical Technology. She quickly developed and expanded her knowledge throughout June and July of 2023, and officially passed and joined the team in August of 2023. She since has worked on several projects and events with our spectacular team.

June Guillard
June Guillard showed interest in Preston Lighting and soon applied for our Advanced Lighting Course. She quickly passed our course, receiving Technician Certification in February of 2025. After that, June was smoothly onboarded onto the Preston Lighting team as a Lighting Technician in March of 2025. June shows significant interest and involvement, and is quickly becoming a vital member of the PL team.

Maya Cappiello
Maya first started working with Preston Lighting in July of 2025, and after continued involvement with us, completed our Advanced Lighting Course and officially joined our team as a Lighting Technician in September 2025. She then got further involved with our operations through multiple projects in the months following and is a promising staff member for PL.
